I have been consciuosly on my Spiritual Path since about 7 yrs old. Early in High School I started doing more reading and having “quite times” (meditation). I was still a christain at that point. After the Navy, in my first marriage, my search went deeper, there had to be more. Hello Ram Dass and other Saints and a friend at work who was in to the metaphysical world, deeper in to meditation, a book called “The Science of Breath”, “Concentration”, and others. Practice, pratice, practice. During my second marriage, more reading, more meditation. After second marriage, more saints, more meditation. Then I found Paramahansa Yogananda, “Autobiography of a Yogi”, I was livng in Bullhead, Arizona, and discovered there was a Self Realization Fellowship Temple in Phoenix, Arizona. So I started driving there on the week-end, sleeping in my van off the road out of town for a few months till I moved to Phoenix. A year later I was initiated as a Kriya Yogi, that was 15 years ago now. The last seven years, I have been single again after my third marriage, and have had Lots of time for more meditation…sitting with God, Guru, Jesus, Krishna, Babaji, Buddha…and others…getting to know more of the Vastness of there Love…and realizing more deeply that we are this Love too. Gods like Our Father, Mother God. So from christain to awareness of Christ Consciousness being our True Nature.
While in High School, I would often come home, light some candles in my room, (no one else home), get some grape juice (sorta like wine), and sit in my room reading the New Testament. Each time, I could deeply feel Jesus sitting there with me helping me read between the lines, experiencing the deeper meanings, with long silent times between passages, with Jesus showing me about Love and Compassion.
Ommm…

Hi Greg,
I wanted to drop you a line thanking you for reposting my stories and linking to my blog. I’m glad you like the blog and find the stories worthwhile.
Like yourself, I’ve been a spiritual seeker all my life and have studied Christianity, Buddhism, and Hinduism. I live just a few miles from the SRF Encinitas center so I get to have nice meditations in the garden on a regular basis
What a lovely place.
I wanted to turn you on to a book a friend of mine wrote, called ‘Mastery At Work” - this book combines eastern techniques such as mindfulness and meditation in a modern context to help integrate one’s career as part of the spiritual path. You or your readers might enjoy hearing about it. The website address is http://www.satorisciences.com - let me know what you think.
Namaste,
Sebastian
