“A few days I ago when cleaning up the outside garden for the year, I came across one of my strawberry plants regrowing. So I dug it up, washed its roots, and dropped it into my hydroponics system. It seems to be doing well so far. Hopefully it survives the transition and thrives since I hear hydroponic strawberries are very sweet and nutritious.”

“These containers filled with basil, lettuce, and tomato plants are part of Santropol Roulant’s Rooftop Garden in Montreal. The containers are designed to be light enough and small enough to be portable and fit into places such as rooftops and balconies not normally known for being sources of food.”

“Certain gifts this Christmas allowed me to build a simple aeroponics system. In aeroponics, the roots are suspended in a fog of nutrient solution. Since the particles are so small the roots absorb the nutrients at a higher rate than they would in soil or liquid nutrient solution. Since the roots are suspended in air, they also get the maximum amount of oxygen. Supposedly, aeroponics works better than hydroponics. I guess I’ll find out!

I bought a $2 palm plant from Walmart to test the system. If it works, I’ll probably grow either my tea or my roma tomatoes in it.”

When you plan to build your own hydroponic system or purchase a starter’s kit, it is important to bear in mind that you are not only just getting a container or a tray, putting your plants in it and supplying the plants with water and nutrients.

Very nice blog. If have the knowledge about the garden kit and purchase from the well know shopkeeper. This method is suitable for the strawberry and tomatoes.
