Contemplation & Ideals – by Sai Baba

“We become what we contemplate. By constant thought an ideal gets imprinted on our heart. When we fix our thoughts all the time on the evil that others do, our mind gets polluted by the evil. When, on the contrary, we fix our mind on the virtues or well-being of others, our mind is cleansed of wrong and entertains only good thoughts. No evil thought can penetrate the mind of a person wholly given to love and compassion. The thoughts we indulge in shape our nature; along with others, they affect us too.”

“One cannot partake of paddy in its raw form. It has to be dehusked and refined into rice and cooked well; only then will it be fit for consumption. When paddy undergoes refinement and becomes rice, its value is enhanced several fold. The process of refinement involves grinding, separating the husk, removing the dust and polishing. In the same way, one cannot get happiness for the mere asking. One has to work for it. The more one engages in good work, the greater will be the reward. The process of refinement lies in accepting all that is good and rejecting all that is bad. You should be prepared to work hard and get refined.

True Love…Poem…Hazrat Inayat Khan

Jann, a good friend of mine left this poem for me…

I have loved in life and I have been loved.
I have drunk the bowl of poison from the hands of love as nectar,
and have been raised above life’s joy.

My heart aflame with love,
set afire every heart that came in touch with it.
My heart hath been broken and again made whole;
My heart hath been wounded and healed again;
A thousand deaths my heart died, and
thanks be to Love, it liveth yet.

I went through Hell and saw there love’s raging fire, and I
entered Heaven illuminated with the light of love.

I wept in love and made all weep with me;
I mourned a love and pierced the hearts of men;
And when my fiery glance fell on the rocks,
the rocks burst forth as volcanoes;

The whole world sank in the flood caused by my one tear;
with my deep sigh the earth trembled, and when I cried out loud
the name of my Beloved,
I shook the throne of God in heaven.
I bowed my head in humility,
and on my knees I begged of Love:
“Disclose to me, I pray thee, O Love, thy secret.”

She took me gently by my arms and lifted me above the earth,
and spoke softly in my ear:
“My dear One, thou thyself art love, art lover and thyself art the
beloved whom thou has adored.”

Supreme Secret – by Sai Baba

“It is only when the mind realizes that all this is Maya (illusion) that it will draw back its feelers from the sensory world and give up its worldly, selfish attitude. The nature of the mind is to waver, hesitate and flutter in its search for happiness and peace. When it realizes that the objects it runs after are transitory and meaningless, it gets suddenly ashamed and disillusioned. Then it begins to follow the Inner Consciousness.”

“The supreme secret is that man must live in the world where he is born like the lotus leaf, which though born in water floats upon it without being affected or wetted by it. Of course, it is good to love and adore God with a view to gain some valuable fruit either here or hereafter. But since there is no fruit or object more valuable than God or more worthwhile than God, the Vedas advise us to love God, with no touch of desire in our minds. Love, since you must love for love’s sake; Love God, since whatever He can give is less than He Himself. Love Him alone, with no other wish or demand”..

Another reminder of the importance of meditation, visiting with God on a daily bases.

It is through getting to Know God thast we get to Know Ourselves.

It is in the peace of meditation that we find our Highest Ideals and can explore them, finding/discovering all the details of our Grandest Intents.

When we meditate these High Ideals & Intents get focused on…then we feel them and explore them more in are daily thoughts…

It is those thoughts/intents we focus most on that manifest in our outside world.

So lets Focus on God so we know Ourselves and All Souls as God Beings Co-Creating Bliss on Earth =)
